The International Network for Traditional Building, Architecture & Urbanism, INTBAU, es ante todo una red dedicada a la creación de edificios y lugares en condiciones humanas armoniosas que respetan las tradiciones locales.
INTBAU tiene su sede en Londres, Reino Unido, bajo el patrocinio de Su Alteza Real el Principe de Gales. Esta organización se estructura en base a una serie de sedes o capítulos nacionales, lo que permite configurar una red más operativa y activa para la mejor difusión en cada país de los valores defendidos por INTBAU, organizando cada uno de estos capítulos sus propias actividades.
Estos valores radican en el convencimiento de que la construcción, la arquitectura y el urbanismo tradicionales no sólo han de documentarse, estudiarse, difundirse y preservarse de forma adecuada, sino que siguen constituyendo hoy un referente fundamental para la práctica actual en dichos campos, pudiendo contribuir a hacerla más responsable, más sostenible y más comprometida con el mantenimiento de nuestra riqueza patrimonial en su sentido más amplio.
INTBAU y ahora también, desde el año 2012, INTBAU España, tiene por ello entre sus principales objetivos el contribuir a difundir, promover y mantener vivas estas tradiciones, así como investigar y recuperar aquéllas que, habiendo perdido su continuidad, sigan siendo válidas en la actualidad.

The International Network for Traditional Building, Architecture & Urbanism, INTBAU, is primarily a network dedicated to the creation of humane and harmonious buildings and places which respect local tradition.
INTBAU organisation is based in London, United Kingdom, under the Patronage of HRH The Prince os Wales.It is organised into a series of national chapters. This allows the configuration of a more operational and active network to better diffuse in each country the values INTBAU promotes, where every chapter organises its own activities.
These values are rooted in the belief in the need of not only appropriately documenting, studying, diffusing and preserving traditional buildings, architecture and urbanism, but also in their value as a fundamental model to improve contemporary practice in these areas, being able to contribute to make it more responsible, more sustainible and more committed to the maintenance of our wide cultural richness and diversity.
Therefore, INTBAU and now, fron 2012, INTBAU Spain have among their main goals to help to diffuse, promote and keep alive these traditions, and to research and recover those which, having lost their continuity, could still be beneficial today.
