Nuria Casadevall has been selected by INTBAU Spain as master craftsperson of the month for October 2022.
Nuria Casadevall belongs to a family of scagliola masters from Barcelona who have been working in the trade uninterruptedly since 1881. Nuria’s work focuses on the restoration and recovery of scagliola coatings, for which she uses various techniques and performs different types of finishes. She masters a wide variety of techniques involving the use of lime for the realization of facade and wall coverings. Sgraffito and hot-ironed scagliola are the works she carries out most frequently, together with the restoration of mural paintings.
