Silvia \u00c1lvarez L\u00f3pez-D\u00f3riga<\/strong> has been selected to train for a period of eight months with scagliola master and painter Luis Prieto.<\/p>\n Silvia has 18 years of experience working in the field of heritage. She has trained and worked in institutions such as the Instituto de Patrimonio Cultural Nacional (IPCE), the Museo Nacional del Prado and the Museo Nacional Centro de Arte Reina Sof\u00eda. Since her early professional career she has worked as a restorer, and has specialized in recent years, through various courses, in the study of lime, plaster, pigments and different coating techniques such as scagliola.<\/p>\n This grant is part of the initiatives that INTBAU Spain<\/strong> and the Traditional Building Cultures Foundation<\/strong> are developing to enhance the value of traditional architecture and traditional building trades. He is specialized in scagliola works and in the realization of plaster and lime finishes, using self-made materials and natural pigments.<\/p>\n Luis Prieto started in the trade thanks to his family and completed his training with studies in painting, drawing, scagliola, colorimetry and manufacture of colors and paints\u00a0 throughout Europe and through numerous trips to several continents.<\/p>\n In 2019 Luis was awarded the Richard H.
